# Swimrankings live results: where to watch and why pages vanish

Swimrankings live results are at live.swimrankings.net while the meet is running. The index changes, so save needed PDFs before older pages disappear. Official times remain in the federation’s system.

> **Idea in Brief**
> - **Most Portuguese meets publish live results.** One index leads to each meet’s page while it runs.
> - **The page holds the day.** Results, heats, PDFs and update times sit together.
> - **Save what matters while it’s open.** The official time remains after the live page disappears.

Your swimmer is at a meet three hours away, and you’re following from the kitchen table. A club message says the heat has finished, but nobody has posted the time. Check live.swimrankings.net first. It lists recent and upcoming live meets, one row each. On 19 September 2026, the index had 139 rows. Seventeen were Portuguese, covering 3 July to 18 October 2026. Each row showed the date, course, city, country code and meet name. Courses included 25m, 50m and OW for open water. The name opened that meet’s page. The federation’s 2026-27 competition regulation says programmes and results can be downloaded from the FPN documents area and through a swimrankings calendar link.

Once open, the page gives a full view of the meet as the organiser updates it. It’s a static export from SPLASH Meet Manager, put into Portuguese by the organiser. You can read resultados (results) by provas (events), then switch between a tab for each day. A line shows the date and time of the latest update. The “Resultados última série” view shows results from the latest of the séries (heats). Each event can have a start-list PDF and a result PDF. The page may also hold medal and record summaries, plus the full results file.

Not every real meet appears. Only meets run through that timing software can reach the live index. A meet using another system may be absent. So may a small club meet that was never entered into Meet Manager. Its absence doesn’t mean the meet didn’t happen. If you can’t find the page, ask the club or coach where the organiser is publishing results.

These are temporary live pages, and the index works as a moving window. On 7 September 2026, it ran from about 21 June to 4 October. Twelve days later, the June meets had dropped from the index and the dates began on 3 July. Individual pages varied too. In the 19 September check, two 2025 meet pages were already gone. One returned “not found” and another “forbidden”. The federation’s event page still linked to one dead page. Yet the July 2026 and March 2026 national meet pages still opened. These checks don’t give a fixed lifespan. A page may disappear within a season or so.

If a result matters to you, save it while the meet is still on. Download the result PDF for that event. You can also save the full results file if you want the whole meet. The official time doesn’t depend on the live page. For entry purposes, a swimmer’s results up to the entry date must already have been processed by their associação territorial (territorial association). That processed record sits in the federation’s system and is what a later entry reads, even after the live page has gone.

### Share it with your swimmer

Keep the live page practical when you explain it:

- **Under 12 (you're driving).** *“Your result is up, and I’ve saved it for you.”* This keeps the admin with you.
- **12–15 (sharing the wheel).** *“The results are up. Want to look now or later?”* This gives them control over the moment.
- **16+ (they're driving).** *“The page may disappear, so save any result you want to keep.”* This puts the record in their hands.

### Stay aligned with your coach

The club or coach knows which timing system the organiser is using; your part is finding and saving the files you need. Ask, *“Will this meet have a live results page, and which result file should we save?”* Leave entries and any result correction with the club.
